How to make fitness info products seems to cause a LOT of fitness pros a great deal of stress and frustration. And no wonder…

I mean, who wants to spend countless hours of intense thought and effort, pouring yourself into writing an ebook or other fitness info product for countless weeks (or even MONTHS) on end… only to have the whole thing fall flat on its face and NEVER sell your first copy of the damn thing?

Believe me, I GET THAT (not like I’VE ever done that myself or anything – cough, cough).

No one wants to go thru all that effort and time to get nothing out of it. And understandably so.

So in this post, I’m going to help you save a LOT of that wasted time and effort… and I’m going to give you unique insight as to how to make fitness info products that are super high-quality and that people will want to buy.

And in the process, I’m going to actually take you behind the scenes of one of my most popular information products, so you can see not only WHAT I did to make that particular piece of content… but I’m also going to show you HOW I did it.

AND… I’m even going to give you the EXACT PATTERN I followed to create this fitness info product, that way you can use the same pattern yourself as you create your fitness info products, free reports, ebooks, and even videos.

And I really think if you can follow along with what I’m about to show you, it will not only cut the amount of time it takes you to make a high-quality fitness info product in HALF… but it’ll also dramatically increase the quality of your fitness info products… AND it will help your customers and clients get BETTER RESULTS, too.

So let’s get right into it…

How to Make Fitness Info Products – A Systemized Approach

I’ve attached a few things to this post for you…

The first thing I’ve attached for you is a Mind Map I use to create my info products and content, and in order to read it, you’re going to either need Mindjet Mindmanager Pro software, or you’re going to need to download the FREE viewer software they make.

You can get the free viewer software for Windows or Mac here…

http://www.mindjet.com/support/tutorials/viewer

Just download whatever version you need for the type of computer you have.

Anyway… you’ll need that to view the attached fitness info product mind map, and that thing is the whole basis of everything I’m about to show you right now…

First of all, I map EVERYTHING out in mindmaps. It’s how I create fitness info products, my systems, my templates, my sales copy, my reports/other content, etc. EVERYTHING.

Seriously cannot overstate that point.

If I could pound my fist on your desk right now and DEMAND that you get mind mapping software, I certainly would do it. Cough, cough, hint, hint. Cough.

So you’ll want to start off by looking at the attached mind map to see how I plan all my content and make info products.

This mind map lays out the process of how to make fitness info products.

How To Make Fitness Info Products Download Link

Fitness Info Product MindMap <== Right-Click this link and select “Save Target As…” (or “Save Link As… in Firefox)

Here’s the rough layout of the land (so to speak)…

All my content and fitness info products are ACTION oriented. In other words, I never want you to passively read or watch my content… I ALWAYS want you to take some kind of action after you consume it. Always.

So, in FREE fitness content… the action I want you to take after you consume it is usually…

DO what I’m showing you in the content (so I can PROVE to you that my stuff works, AND so you can get some results in advance, thereby causing you to become more internally motivated)

Accept certain beliefs I want you to accept (so you let go of your objections and also adopt MY beliefs and MY view of the situation… so you’ll take the ACTION I want you to take)

Take a specific action that brings you one step closer to paying me (click this link, buy this product, fill out this form, whatever)

And in PAID FOR content (like an ebook, video course, or any kind of fitness info product you plan to SELL)… the action I want you to take after you consume it is…

…to GO DO the stuff I’m telling you to go do.

Otherwise, how are YOU going to get the result you want… and how am I going to get a raving testimonial outta you?

(and honestly, if you really want your customers to actually consume your fitness info product and get actual real-world RESULTS… you really end up having to get all 3 steps from above in paid for content too… it’s just the 3rd step changes a little. You’re no longer asking them to click links and buy stuff… you’re asking them to go do what you just taught them right now… before your fingernails fall off or the sky falls or something equally bad).

Anyway, like I was saying…

The mind map file I’ve attached will show you my outline, or my overall plan for how I structured this particular piece of content. This content actually started out as paid for content inside my membership site, but it got such good reviews, I decided to GIVE IT AWAY FOR FREE (I’ll tell you why that’s a smart move some other time).

How To Make Fitness Info Products In 4 Easy Steps

The first thing you’ll notice is that the content TOPIC is in the very center of the map… Lead Generation.

And branching out from that central topic are 4 other main “bubbles”…

Why

What

How

What If

Those are the main sections of the content or info product almost every single time. Doesn’t matter if it’s free or paid for.

This pattern comes from the 4mat system (taught in NLP). It’s sometimes called the 4 learning styles.

Don’t want to get too heavy into all that NLP woo woo stuff in this particular blog post, but this pattern is SUPER IMPORANT because it covers every learning style on the planet, and it will make the most sense to the highest percentage of people.

If you explain something to a person and you cover all 4 learning styles, they WILL understand it. They WILL be able to ACT on the information and put it to use.

And THAT is the whole point of you or I creating a fitness info product to begin with…. if they don’t ACT on it… we don’t get paid… AND we can’t HELP our customer get what they want. Both are equally bad in my book.

So if you look at the mind map, you’ll see how I’ve planned the content out so EVERYONE can understand it. In each of those main “bubbles”, I’m entirely focused on answering that ONE PARTICULAR QUESTION for my prospect/customer.

Why?

What?

How?

What If?

Why… Here’s what you’re going to learn and WHY you should pay attention to this. Here’s what paying attention is going to DO FOR YOU… and here’s all the bad stuff that’s going to happen to you if you DON’T pay attention. Here’s WHY I’m teaching you this…

You’ve got to tell them WHY they should learn this, otherwise, they won’t be able to.

Remember back in high school when they were teaching us Calculus… and we all kept going “When are we EVER going to use this? Why are we even learning this?”… and everyone thought it was all hard and stuff?

Do you know what was going on there?…

The teacher never answered the question WHY… and because of that, we never understood WHY we should pay attention, or WHY it should be important to us… and we didn’t LEARN (and more importantly, we couldn’t ACT on the new info to cause change in our lives).

So WHY is super important. Most people will be stuck if they don’t understand WHY they should pay attention. So that’s exactly why I spend a good chunk of my outline on the WHY section.

Creating Fitness Info Products That Deliver Results To Your Customers

Without writing you a book here, the short, condensed way to look at this is, again, as motivation…

Why = motivation to pay attention and LEARN this

What = the basic concept you need to learn before what I’m about to show you will actually work

How = the steps you need to take to make this happen (and possibly, how to DO the steps)

What If = motivation to actually go DO this stuff in the real world

So, just like a sales letter, this “how to make fitness info products and content” stuff is really just a giant “motivation sandwich”.

You’ve got the actual “WHAT TO DO” and “HOW TO DO IT” there in the middle. And that’s surrounded by the motivation to pay attention and learn, and the motivation to go off and DO it in real life.

Again, this is a condensed version. There’s a lot more to each of the 4 main sections than that (and I’ll show you all that stuff as we go along), but I think this is a good place to start.

And I think if you keep this really oversimplified model in mind as you look over the attached mind map, you’ll really be able to see how I’ve used each section of the map to get all that stuff into the content so that:

it makes a lot of sense to anyone who consumes the finished info product (a video in this case)

it MOTIVATES the viewer to take an action that’s in their own best interest (an action that will move them closer to their desired end result/outcome)

I won’t go into all the details of it all in a single blog post (and really, it’s best to absorb this stuff in “layers” anyway), but I’ve also attached a Microsoft Word document that has this mind map exported out into more of a “report” style (just so it’s easier to read).

Fitness Info Product Word Document <== Right-Click this link and select “Save Target As…” (or “Save Link As… in Firefox)

I start at the mind map level…

Wait let me back up…

How To Make Fitness Info Products People Will Want To Buy

I start at the prospect level. I get SUPER CLEAR on what specific, external, tangible, measurable end-result my prospect already WANTS … and from that mindset, I move into the mind map planning level.

If you want my free system on how to get into your prospect’s head quickly and easily, you should check out my Prospect Mind Probe video here.

I plan content and info products based SPECIFICALLY around the things they TELL ME they already want, but can’t find.

In reality, any given end-result is going to have a set of actions that lead to it. Sure, there’s probably more than one way to skin a cat, but all in all, there’s a given set of actions… and if you get them right, you’ll get the end result you’re after.

So I plan out what the actions are I want the prospect (or customer) to take in order to get the result they want.

And I even plan out how to motivate them to actually TAKE those actions.

THEN… I export that mind map into a Word document (like the one above) so I can refine things.

I spend A LOT of time in the mind map level BEFORE I ever export it to the Word document. That lets me drag things around easily, and it lets me add new stuff without having to rework a lot of the document. So because of the time I spend in the mind map, the word doc is usually pretty cleaned up looking (for the most part).

Just don’t spend too much time going over MY word doc, because it will probably confuse you with too much tree bark, as opposed to a more “bird’s eye” view of the whole forest.

In other words, it’ll be too hard to not get sucked into the content, and then you won’t be looking at the PATTERN for creating content that I’m teaching you right now.

Right now, I’d much rather you get this conceptually, versus us getting all bogged down with the details of how I came up with all the stuff IN the mind map.

For now, just understand the overall pattern of what I’ve done here (that way you can work on USING THE PATTERN to create YOUR own fitness info products).

Anyway, I’ve also attached the powerpoint slides I used to create the finished video, so you can see how I’ve just taken what’s in the Word document, and converted it over into a presentation.

Fitness Info Product PowerPoint Slides <== Right-Click this link and select “Save Target As…” (or “Save Link As… in Firefox)

I just filmed that presentation with screen capture software (I use Camtasia, but for Mac you can use Screen Flow – it’s better and cheaper).

That screen capture ended in the final video you can view here…

http://www.facebook.com/internetfitnessincome

It will play for you after you hit the “Like” button.

Hopefully all this stuff makes sense when you take a look at it.

Talk to you later,

Allen

Picking a domain name for your fitness business is a very important decision that needs done the right way.

If you’re trying to figure out how to choose the right domain name for your fitness business, you’re at a very important decision that could impact the overall success of your internet fitness marketing plan.

Mess up here by picking the wrong domain name… and you pretty much shoot yourself in the foot. Believe me, I’ve seen many fitness professionals do it to themselves. They’ll pick a fitness domain name based around their company name, and then end up getting NO traffic because of it.

Choosing the right domain name for your fitness business can literally be the difference between NO ONE ever finding your fitness website… or people finding you at Google ALL THE TIME! So skip this advice at your own peril.

Picking A Good Fitness Domain Name

When you sit down to figure out what domain name to pick for your fitness business, what you’re really trying to do is figure out what your prospect is going to type into Google when they’re looking for you and the kinds of fitness services and help you offer…

And once you’ve figured that out, you’ll want to try to use those exact keywords AS your domain name… or at least as close to it as you can get. Because if your domain name IS what that prospect just told Google to search for, you’re pretty likely to show up in the search results.

What you should do is pick the most important thing you offer and combine that with the name of the city you want to target, because that’s probably how your prospect is going to search for what you offer. For example, a prospect is likely to type in “personal trainer in Miamisburg”, or “miamisburg personal trainer”, etc.

Choose the part of your fitness business that’s going to generate the most income for you, or that’s going to get you the most clients (boot camps or personal trainer or fitness class, etc) and focus on where the most money is going to be for you.

Then pick the city you’re in, or the city you’d like to target most heavily, and include that in our domain name too.

So now you should have it narrowed down to 2 chunks of information…

the fitness service you want to promote the most heavily

and the name of the city you want to really target in on the most.

For example, you might be left with “personal trainer” and “Miamisburg” (because you want to promote personal training in that town).

Now just start combining those 2 “keywords” into possible domain names, like this…

personaltrainermiamisburg.com

personal-trainer-miamisburg.com

miamisburgpersonaltrainer.com

maimisburg-personal-trainer.com

If you’re lucky enough to be in a city with very few fitness pros (other than yourself)… then any of those domain names might be available. If so, go ahead and take your pick. You might even want to register ALL of them, just in case any new trainers decide to open up shop in your area.

But if you live in a bigger city, or a city that already has several fitness businesses… you may find all the “obvious” fitness domain names are already taken. If you’re finding yourself in that spot, here’s what to do…

Tools To Help You Choose The Right Domain Name For Your Fitness Business

I’ve found a few different tools that I use when I’m trying to come up with fitness domain names, and they’re especially helpful if all the good domain names that include your city and your fitness service are already taken.

1) Impossibility! – The Best Domain Name Generator Ever

http://impossibility.org/

That’s the actual tag line for this tool, not my personal opinion.

Screen shot from Impossibility, and tool that can help you choose the right domain name for your personal training or fitness boot camp business.

This handy little tool will let you type “miamisburgpersonaltrainer” into the little search box, and then you can choose to add different kinds of words to the beginning and end to get things like…

bestmiamisburgpersonaltrainer.com

trymiamisburgpersonaltrainer.com

and all kinds of other variables that you might be able to think of quickly on your own

2) Nameboy

http://www.nameboy.com

I’ve used this one for years to come up with good fitness domain names.

Nameboy helps you brainstorm new domain name ideas for your fitness business.

It lets you enter in up to 2 keywords, and it gives you options to use hyphens in your domain names if you want. I really like how it also shows you whether the fitness domain names it spits out at you are actually available or not. I just wouldn’t buy the domain names through Nameboy because they’re cheaper at Godaddy.com

But the tool comes in pretty handy when all the obvious best personal trainer and boot camp domain names are already taken in your area.

What To Do If You Need More Help Picking The Right Domain Name For Your Fitness Business

Hopefully this post has helped you figure out how to choose the right domain name for your fitness business… and given you some easy to use (and free) tools to help coming up with ideas in case all the obvious best choices are already taken.

But if you feel like you still need some help coming up with a good domain name, or you just want some input on some of the ideas you’re batting around right now… just let me know in the comments area below. I’m sure you’ll get all kinds of input.

And if you’ve found this helpful at all, I’d really appreciate it if you hit the “Like” and “Tweet” buttons below to help other fitness pros, too.

If you’re spending time trying to do fitness marketing with social media, you’re probably going to run into a spot where you want to get more fans for your Facebook fan page… Well that’s exactly what I’m going to show you how to do in this post.

The strategy I’m going to show you today is how to setup a fan gate on your fitness Facebook page… and then use it to get more of your prospects to “Like” you. This is going to let them see your status updates.

And it’s also going to help you pull more people onto your email list (and hopefully into an automated fitness sales funnel).

This is a really powerful social media strategy you can use in your fitness marketing, but before we get into the exact “how-to” steps, I want to show you the overall concept of using a Facebook fan gate, what a fan gate does… and why using one is going to help you promote your personal training or fitness bootcamps online.

What Is A “Fan Gate”… And Why You Should Use One In Your Fitness Marketing

The easiest way to explain a fan gate is to just show you one… so here’s what my fan gate looks like…

You can get a better view at my actual fan page here: http://www.facebook.com/internetfitnessincome

Here's an example of a fitness marketing Facebook fan gate being used to promote my business with social media.

So here’s what a fan gate does for your social media fitness marketing strategy…

Whenever someone comes to your fitness Facebook fan page, NON fans will land on an offer page (like the one you see above).

And as you can see, the whole thing we’re trying to achieve here is to get that NON fan to become a fan of our fitness marketing page by clicking on the “Like” button. That’s the whole reason we’re offering a free video, and it’s why we’ve got that big orange arrow pointing to the “Like” button… because we want people to click it.

Again… only your NON fans (or people who have not yet liked you) are going to see this. Anyone who is already a fan (along with anyone who decides to click the like button) will be re-directed to a page that contains your free offer.

So continuing with my example, all my fans (and all the people who click the like button) land on a page like this…

This is the page people see when they like my fitness marketing Facebook page.

As you can see, once someone becomes a fan, they are redirected to another page that contains the actual freebie gift I promised them in exchange for hitting the “Like” button. In this case, they get a free video that’s displayed right there… but you could just as easily create a free fitness report, too.

Another way you could use this strategy is to place an opt-in form on this fans only page, and ask people to opt-in to your fitness email list in order to gain access to your free offer. This would help you get more people onto your mailing list, and it could also direct people back to your other marketing on a fitness blog.

But the important part about using a fan gate on your fitness Facebook page is that it helps get you a bigger following and more fans… and it’s pretty easy to setup.

How To Setup a Fan Gate On Your Fitness Facebook Page

To setup a fan gate on your fitness or personal training Facebook fan page, all you really need are a few things…

The free app that lets you create this fan gate

An HTML editor (for a free HTML editor, check out my guide on how to build a fitness website here)

A free fitness report or video

Of course, you can get a little fancy like I’ve done above (if you want)… and in that case you’re probably going to need something like Adobe Photoshop or some kind of graphics editing software (or you might even want to outsource this to a graphic designer)… but you don’t have to get fancy.

You can use nothing but this free app and a free HTML editor and be just fine in using this strategy in your social media fitness marketing. So lets go over how to set this up for your personal training or fitness Facebook page…

Step 1: Get the free app

The app you’ll need to create your own Facebook fan gate is called “Static HTML: iframe tabs“ and you can find that by just typing it into the search box at the top of your Facebook page. Just allow it and it will install itself on your fitness fan page.

It also comes with instructions on what you’ll need to do in order to set it up to work as a fan gate, and that’s pretty easy to follow.

Step 2: Create a page for your NON fans (asking them to become fans)

Just use your favorite HTML editor and create a page that only your non-fans will see. Make sure this page is offering them your free fitness report or video in exchange for clicking the Like button.

Then, after you’ve created the page in your editor, switch to the HTML view and copy everything between the <body> tags… and paste it into the box in your Static HTML iframe tabs app, like this…

In this step, you're creating the page your NON fans will see when they hit your fitness Facebook fan page.

Step 3: Create a page where they can download your free fitness report / video

Next, you’ll need to go back to your HTML editor and create another page… this time you’ll create the page where people who ARE fans (or have just BECOME fans) of yours can download their free report or video.

Again, this doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Just thank them for Liking you… and give them a link to download everything.

Like I said, you could also include an opt-in form on this page asking them to join your email list in order to get download instructions, but it’s not 100% necessary. For now, I’d start simple and come back to add to everything once you’ve got it all up and running.

Once you’ve got your Fans only page created in your HTML editor, you’re going to need to select everything between the <body> tags again, and paste it into the Static HTML iframe tabs app. This time you’ll paste it into the “[Optional] Fans-only content” box like this…

Here you'll create the page that only your fans can see. This is a great way to get more power from your fitness social media marketing.

Step 4: Set your new fan gate page as your default landing page

Now that you’ve created your new fan gate to get more likes and more power from your social media fitness marketing, all that’s really left to do is to activate it and set it as the default landing page for your fitness Facebook page.

To do that, just Edit your Fan page and go to the “Manage Permissions” tab. You’ll need to change your default landing page to your new fan gate setup. Just select Welcome from the drop-down menu like this…

Just set your new fitness fan gate to be the default landing tab on your Facebook page.

Save your changes and you’re done!

Now you’ve got an automated system in place that can get you more fans and more likes…. AND it can help drive more people onto your fitness email list. And it’s very easy to setup. So go out and make this a part of your social media fitness marketing plan and put it to use today.

The winter season can be a slow time for many fitness businesses and personal trainers.

So to make sure that doesn’t happen to you… here’s a little idea I found on CNN that might give you and your income a little boost.

Using Online Fitness Classes To Grow Your Fitness Business

Whatever your reason is for not wanting to hit the gym, Kristin Knee of Flirty Girl Fitness understands.

“I don’t even want to go to my own studio when it’s raining,” she said with a laugh.

That’s why late last year, she and her sister, Kerry, launched Flirty Girl Fitness LIVE, a Web service that streams three or four of their franchise’s group classes every day.

Subscribers can log in at home and participate in classes like “Bikini Bootcamp” or “Hottie Body Boxing” from their living room. The classes stay online for 24 hours and then are replaced with the next day’s workouts. Unlimited subscription passes are $15 a month.

Joyce Wells is also growing a fitness business by streaming fitness classes online…

Joyce Wells is growing a fitness business online by streaming fitness classes online.

…the fitness industry is dragging its feet in making the transition online. The brick-and-mortar gyms are afraid of catalyzing their current market, she says.”It’s going to be like Netflix was to Blockbuster. Blockbuster refused to let go of that model, and look at what happened to them.” (Blockbuster filed for bankruptcy in September 2010).

Wells’ target market is stay-at-home mothers and people who are obese. But online classes appeal to anyone who’s uncomfortable in a gym setting, Webster says.

“You hear, ‘I can’t go to the gym until I get in shape,’ ” Webster said. “This gives them privacy … to experience it on their own without feeling self-conscious. This could go a long way to promoting compliance because it’s convenient and portable.” Original Article Here

Are you afraid using online fitness classes in your fitness business would cause you to lose clients in your real-life, in-person classes and bootcamps?

Let me know your thoughts on that, and if you’re already doing live streaming classes to grow your fitness business, please share you input and tips below. And please click the Like button below if you thought this was interesting.

Marketing Your Fitness Business… Right On Your Prospect’s Mobile Phone

Who would have thought fitness and smartphones would actually work together.

Usually when I see someone training and they have their phone in their hand I think, “Can’t you put your phone away for an hour workout?”

“And then the idea hit me; a Fitness Business App for the fitness entrepreneur who really wants to take their business to the next level. Almost everyone has a smartphone and what an awesome opportunity to market a fitness businesses,” said Georgette Pann.

Fitness Business Apps takes fitness marketing to a whole new level. The app provides the fitness owner with countless benefits to increase clients and profits. With the Fitness Business App, fitness professionals have the ability to:

Sounds pretty cool to me.

I can see this taking a small fitness business to a new level. You could really impress some people and set a pretty good first impression with something like this.

I mean, how many other people in your area are marketing a fitness business this way? Talk about standing out from the crowd.

What do you think? Will a smart phone app be one of your personal trainer marketing strategies… or is it just fluff?

Are you’re looking for personal trainer marketing strategies that will help you attract more paying customers and clients?

One of the best fitness marketing ideas you could try is to start creating fitness content around some of the biggest frustrations, challenges, and problems your personal training prospects have.

Why Personal Trainer Marketing Strategies Start With Content

Your buyers start their buying journey by educating themselves. Who better to help them learn about your industry, products, and services than you? Do you really think they’re finding specific answers to specific problems in their monthly trade magazine?

You’re the expert! That’s why your customers trust you and do business with you! This is a core tenant of Inbound Marketing.

It’s time to stop hoarding your expertise! All that expertise that used to get you in the door for the initial discussion or product demo is now available on the Internet.

If you’re not providing it, that means your competition is!

Remarkable content is at the core of successful marketing in today’s environment. Company blogs, white papers, case studies, training, education, webinars, testimonials, and videos are where smarter communications plans should start.

Skeptical?

Look up your business category or a typical solution you offer on your favorite search engine. Search again on YouTube.

Now try searching LinkedIn, Facebook, and Google+.

If the bottom just dropped out of your stomach, you have some catching up to do! Original Article Here

Creating high quality fitness content is one of the best personal trainer marketing strategies for getting more clients, simply because all the content makes it so much easier for your local prospects to find you on the search engines.

The more fitness content you create, the more Google is going to like your personal trainer blog or website… and the higher they’re going to rank you in their search results.

And the more content you have, the more chances your prospects have of finding your personal training business online.

7 Content Creation Strategies To Use In Your Personal Trainer Marketing

Identify your goals. What do you want to achieve through your marketing? What is the target market that you are trying to reach? Developing a marketing plan and a social media strategy should be your first steps in this process.

Keep it manageable. Content creation can include blogs, podcasts, videos, presentations, and more. As a small business owner, it’s important to stick to doing something that will be manageable, especially if only you and perhaps one other person will be creating the content. Don’t feel that you have to do it all.

Develop a system for implementation. This doesn’t need to be too complicated, but you should at least be clear about who will develop the content, where will it be published, how it will be shared through social media, and how you will respond to comments on your blog and Facebook.

Develop an editorial calendar. This is a handy way of planning what you will post and when. You can identify the types of blog posts that you want to write, as well as plan ahead for your Facebook updates and tweets.

Identify appropriate content for each of your channels. People will engage with your content differently on your blog than they will on Facebook, and they will engage differently on Facebook than they will on Twitter. For example, when people go to your blog, they are looking for specific information on a topic that they want to learn more about and it will take more than 140 characters to provide them with that information. When they see your status update on Facebook, it will often be mixed in with updates from their friends and family, and they are more likely to click the “like” button if it’s something that they can take in really quickly.

Incorporate your keywords. This is particularly important if you are blogging for business. Make sure that you use keywords that people will use to search for your product or service and incorporate those into your blog title and posts. Although the search engines are constantly changing the way that they serve up search results, people are still entering keywords in their searches and you want to make sure that they can find you.

Be aware that this will take time! Like all marketing, this will take time. It’s not a simple matter of setting up your social media profiles and just sending out a few tweets. You’ll need to work on this regularly, but over time, you will begin to see the results of your efforts. Original Article Here

Creating high-quality fitness related content is one of the best personal trainer marketing strategies you can use if you want to attract new customers and clients to you.

But the biggest problem trainers and other fitness pros tell me they run into is… coming up with ideas to create content around!

So if you want an easy way to get TONS of ideas for fitness content, I’ve created a personal trainer marketing video that shows you a step-by-step process for getting as many content ideas as you want. I even include the actual system documents so you can download them and use them in your marketing your personal training business.

Looking for a way to SEO content for your fitness blog or website so you can get more traffic from Google?

You’re not alone. That’s why you’ve been hearing so much about the power of fitness blogging. But what good does it do to spend hours each week writing content for your fitness blog or website if no one can ever find it?

Not much good at all.

I mean isn’t the whole point to get found at the search engines? Aren’t you really trying to get TRAFFIC from interested prospects when you set out to create your blog? If you ask me, that’s EXACTLY why you’re doing it.

How To Quickly SEO Your Fitness Content & Blog Posts

1. Your title is vital. You must craft a catchy title that includes a keyword. If you don’t, it is an easily missed opportunity to maximize your position in search engines. Don’t sacrifice the chance to include a keyword in your title to be cute or cryptic. By having a clever title that includes a keyword, you can successfully entice readers while encouraging search engines to boost your rankings.

2. Subheadings can be significant. Incorporating relevant keywords in an H2 or H3 tag throughout your content reinforces the topic of your page for search engine spiders.

3. On average, a page of content should have a minimum of 300 words. With at least 300 words, you can write enough original and unique content to incorporate your primary keyword. This sensible amount of content won’t overwhelm readers if it’s organized well, and it gives search engines a sufficient amount of information.

4. Measure your keyword prominence. Plainly put, check how prominent your keyword is within your site. It is better to put your keyword close toward the beginning of the page, title, h tag, or key descriptions.

5. Mix up your keywords. For example, if you’re writing content on photography you could alternate between using the phrase ‘family pictures’ or ‘family portraits’ to change it up and avoid spamming your content with overused keywords. Original Article Here

Of course, there are other factors that can play a role in how you rank at the search engines… but don’t over-complicate things if you don’t have to. Stick with these basics on how to SEO fitness content for your blog posts or fitness website and see how well it can work before you decide to dive into more intricate (and time-consuming) methods.

Here’s why…

Facebook is a giant collection of leads for your fitness business.

Twitter is an awesome tool to research your fitness prospects, customer, and clients (so you can learn what fitness products and services they want to buy… AND so you can figure out what their emotional motivators are – and sell them more of your fitness stuff).

And if you do your fitness marketing through social media the right way, you can generate a lot more income from your fitness business.

How To Think About Social Media When You’re Marketing Your Fitness Business

You’ve got to go into social media with the right mindset, or you’re going to screw up. Here’s a good way to think about it as explained by Owen Clark:

Have you read Dale Carnegie’s “How To Win Friends and Influence People”? Do you regularly use the concepts taught? Come on, you can be honest with me. I think the #1 reason people don’t succeed on Social Media is because they forget the simplest concepts of business and making friends.

People do not like to be sold but they do like to buy.

Think about that for a moment.

People do not like to be sold but they do like to buy.

People want to buy, BUT they want to buy on their own terms stemming from internal motivation. Your job as a business owner is to provide that “internal motivation” without raising their defenses with pushy sales pitches.

Engage your friends, followers and connections by educating and entertaining. Add value. Show them a good time.

What if you applied your people skills online in your social media networks? I’m going to venture your profits would soar. The Original Article Is Here…

I can’t emphasize that point enough… if you go into your fitness marketing on social media trying to sell your fitness products and services… or if you go in thinking only about what YOU want… you’re going to get very poor results.

So let’s look at some things you can do right now to use social media to market your fitness business right now…

Fitness Marketing With Social Media Done Right

The first step is to clean up your profiles. Make the message consistent and put a professional photo up. Use the same photo on every site and resist the temptation to hide behind a logo. People naturally prefer to interact with another person, represented by a human face.

In about 100 words on each, here is my advice for the major social media sites:

Facebook is a social platform before it is a business platform. DO NOT SELL on your personal profile on facebook. Instead do targeted ads to friends and fans and use your picture in your ad. When people see your ad and see a picture of you they will read it and possibly click it. Once they have clicked they have “opted in” and asked you to begin providing information on your offerings.

Twitter is a fantastic consumer research tool. You can use a service like Hootsuite to automatically find any chatter about your industry or company. Let Hootsuite do the listening for you and follow up with those interested in your company. Twitter is a real time conversation and lets you know within minutes if someone is talking about you or your company or about the product or service that you provide. Cool right? Original Article Here

How are YOU using social media in your fitness marketing? I’d love to hear from you, and any tips, techniques, and strategies you’ve seen success with will surely help other fitness pros. So don’t be shy… join the conversation below. And please click the LIKE button below to share this on Facebook.

Fitness professionals are always asking me how to improve their fitness sales letters so they can sell more of their products…

And one of the first things I tell them are to ignore the sales copy for a second and look at their offer FIRST.

Because in all honesty, the offer you’re making to your fitness prospects is where the real money is…

Why Your Fitness Sales Letter’s Offer Is So Important

Here’s some input on how important your offer really is from Matt O’Connor (who’s one of the most in-demand copywriters on Clickbank)…

Over the past 12 months I’ve been involved in at least 20 product launches. And truly irresistible offers have been as rare as hen’s teeth.

And when you consider that piecing together a tremendous offer easily ramps up your chances of a sale… you have to wonder why nobody seems to bother.

Is it a case of there’s nothing new out there… all the good product ideas have already been taken… or is it just laziness?

One thing’s for sure, over on Clickbank they’re taking very seriously some of the more — ahem — over the top copy that masks the crappy offer beneath.

And so I predict that The Offer is about to strike back.

Many copywriters would disagree with me but I personally think the copywriter/marketing consultant should be responsible for…

1) Identifying a great offer…

2) Building up a not-so-great offer into something worth at least double the price you’re asking for… Original Article Here

An Easy Way To To Tweak Your Offer So Your Fitness Sales Letter Can Sell More

One of the best ways to improve your fitness sales letter is to revisit your offer and look for easy ways to make it better for your potential customer. What can you add to your current offer to make it better, more effective, easier to use / get results from, faster?

That’s exactly the kind of think Matt used here…

I’m currently working with a client who is charging $197 for 6 pretty nice pdfs on social media. Now his original copy can be improved. No doubt about that. But the catalyst to much higher conversions will be creating a better offer.

So we’re adding interviews with some of the top CEOs and entrepreneurs in the country… a nifty bit of proprietary software… AND a 30 minute phone call with my client (who really knows his stuff).

Suddenly, the offer becomes damn near irresistible. And we’ve yet more to add.

So look out marketers. It’s time to go back to the “good old days” of crafting offers to die for.

It may be that the days of relying on fancy-pants copy alone are numbered. Original Article Here

What you’re really trying to do in your offer is present the highest possible perceived value to your prospect. Anything you can do to make the prospect feel like they’re getting a good value… the better your chances of getting a sale.

Here’s a partial checklist of some of the questions I ask myself as I’m conceptualizing ideas for fitness products…

Can I create an audio download or audio CD of this product, or related to this product?

Can I create a video download or DVD of this product, or elated to this product?

Can I create additional worksheets, checklists, or spreadsheets of the information in this product to boost its value?

Can I create a quick start guide so they can use a portion of my product and get some results right away?

Some of the things on this list can be used to enhance the value of your product very dramatically… and a lot of those things don’t take very much time, money, or effort to do.

And notice how none of this stuff is really related to writing fitness sales copy?… This is all stuff geared to increasing the strength of your offer.

And like I’ve said, having a strong offer is far more important than having an outstandingly written sales letter. In fact, having a strong offer makes writing the fitness sales letter much easier.

Talk to you later,

Allen

P.S. If you liked this post, please share it on Facebook.

When you’re just starting out with fitness blogging as a way of promoting your fitness business and getting new customers and clients, it can feel a little overwhelming. I”ll even admit it…

When I first entertained the idea of starting a blog to promote my own business, it was hard to just get started.

This article gives you some simple, easy to implement strategies that will help you get your fitness blog up to a successful start quickly.

3 Tips For Starting Your Own Fitness Blog

Tip #1: Make a list of possible blog topic ideas

One of the big mistakes all online writers make – even those who are experienced bloggers – is to assume that the blog topic will come to them once they sit down to write.

Unfortunately, the blogging muse rarely strikes so spontaneously.

It’s easy to feel pulled in a million different directions, so what happens is the deadline you’ve set creeps closer and closer and you panic – realizing you have no idea what to write about.

Here are some starting points to help you plan your topics and avoid the blog deadline panic:

What questions do customers ask?

Can you offer any DIY (do-it-yourself) tips?

What are some “hot topics” in your industry?

Research other blogs in your space. What are they talking about?

Looking for local customers? Can you tie a local issue back to your business?

Is there a list of blog posts/sites that you love?

These are just brainstorming ideas. You don’t have to worry about creating a formal framework or outline at this point – just put your ideas down on paper.

Tip #2: Loosen up!

If you’re new to blogging and online writing, it can feel really weird to start. You may flash back to high school or college, conjuring teachers and professors and that red pen inking up your work. You may second-guess every word you write.

You’re not in high school English class anymore.

Relax. You’re not writing some sort of “paper” for grading. Try to write as you would talk – it will help the copy flow more easily and naturally.

Write with personality! A good writing style can make the most technical subjects approachable and fun to read about.

This is especially true when writing about a technical subject. Your writing doesn’t have to be dry and boring, even if the topic may seem so. Infuse it with personality and it will be far more readable and enjoyable!

Tip #3: Work with an editor

This is a really important tip for everyone, no matter how experienced they may be.

Typos happen.

Have an editor to check your writing for typos, grammatical errors, and to ensure that your message is coming through as you intended.

It’s so easy for all of us to get too close to our own stuff that we miss these nitty things. So if you start uploading unedited blog posts to your site, with typos, bad grammar, or rambling, unfocused copy, it just makes your company look bad. And you don’t want to do that.

Also, having an editor is one of the easiest ways you can reduce the stress of writing – just knowing you have a second set of eyes that will catch those common writing errors.

If your editor also knows SEO copywriting, he/she can help your post get better search rankings.

A bonus is to have an editor trained in SEO copywriting best practices. Then you have an ally who can not only edit your copy, but also optimize it for search engines to achieve better rankings and drive more traffic to your blog. Original Article Here

Do You Have Any Fitness Blogging Tips You’d Like To Share?

Getting started with a fitness blog is something a lot of fitness pros have trouble with… and it’s something that can be so important to the overall success of your online fitness marketing.

So if you’ve had some success with your blog and you’d like to share your fitness blogging tips with other fitness pros, please post them in the comments below.

Talk to you later,
